Hmm ... sometimes though, we can grow through defeat as well as, and perhaps even more than, through success. Look at Al Gore for instance : defeated in politics and then later so successful at raising environmental awareness ...

The doing is usually more important than the outcome. Not everyone can be Number 1.

Ah Diver, though there is sometimes Defeat, is that not the journey? and through defeat, and as you say growth, it means the destination has changed.

I dont see the journey as one path, but as a feild of many paths, each entwined, each with a lesson, each with a different destination...

I like this quote XO as it reminds me to stop and look at my path and those who, for a while, are travelling with me...

the destination is unimportant and I leave it in the hands of the Gods
